Hey guys! Today I am back with a sweet and short post: an unboxing of this month’s Birchbox! If you are not familiar with this then click here and check out my previous unboxing where I also talk about the subscription service in more detail. Birchbox is set up a little differently this month, with a keepsake drawer instead of the usual lid and it comes in two bright colourful designs featuring Palm Trees or Pineapples. Inside, there are some lovely beauty goodies- from must-have makeup to brilliant body care- that are just perfect for summer. Think of it as a box of sunshine!
For starters, Birchbox subscribers had the chance to upgrade their June box with a pair of Quay Australia sunglasses for a very special price. I am obsessed with this brand so I couldn’t miss the opportunity to add another beautiful pair of sunnies to my collection. There were two designs to choose from and the ones that I got are called “Kosha”. Now on to the actual content of the box…
This pigment smells so nice, I had to stick my finger into the jar as soon as I opened it! The bright pink shade is more subtle than it actually looks and it is the perfect way to to add a pop of colour to lips and cheeks. It blends out beautifully and it is ultra-hydrating.
I have tried this product before and it is an absolute gem. A spritz of strong hold hairspray will keep everything in place. It is also ultra-fine and humidity resistant and it won’t leave you with that crunchy feeling like most hairsprays do, making restyling so much easier.
This is a creamy scrub packed with rice powder particles to smooth and purify all skin types. It is supposed to be gentle enough for daily use. I am really excited about this little jar because exfoliation is my favourite step in my skincare routine. It is really important to slough away dead skin cells to prep your canvas.
I admit…I’ve never heard of a CC body cream before so I’m quite curious to try this lotion. It is supposed to have a fast-absorbing formula that will hydrate and bronze you from tip-to-toe while treating your skin to nourishment too. Sounds very promising…
I am so glad I found this product in my June Birchbox as I’ve used it before and I remember liking it a lot. It is a gentle gel face cleanser that contains natural ingredients, like chamomile and oats, which remove dirt and grime while reducing redness and irritation.
