Transitioning Into Spring

For today’s post I’m doing something a little bit different, an outfit of the day type of thing. I am no fashion expert but I really want to experiment more and just add a little something to my usual style, which involves a lot of black and grey. Even though it’s still freezing cold outside, I decided to adopt some of this year’s spring trends and get my wardrobe ready for the upcoming (warm) season. And just in time for my style revamp, Koko Couture kindly asked me if I wanted to try out one of their bags from their new spring collection, which let me tell you, it is absolutely gorgeous! It was so hard to pick one bag, their selection is insane, but I finally decided on the Chrissie Faux Leather Snakeskin handbag in black*.

At first I thought I would branch out and not get a black bag because I already have plenty of them but something was telling me ‘black goes with everything, Alina’ so I gave in. I really like the quality of this bag. It seems really durable, you can wear it with or without the chain strap and it has the perfect size, as mini bags are in this season…seriously, the smaller the bag, the better. Just throw your phone, lipstick, keys and a little purse in there and you’re good to go. The bag retails for £23 and if you were to hold it and get a feel of the quality, you would think it is surprisingly cheap. You can find the Chrissie bag and many, many others online here and they are also stocked in Topshop stores!
I paired my Koko Couture bag with a Zara top which I really like because it has florals all over it and frills on the shoulders and if this doesn’t scream I’M READY FOR SPRING, then I don’t know what else will. Florals are one of the biggest trends this season and I can’t complain because they make everything look oh so pretty. If you pay attention to details, you will notice that it also has elastic cuffs, which make the top look even more flattering.
I am also wearing light denim boyfriend jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch. I can’t find them online because I got mine over two years ago in New York. I wear them a lot, especially in spring when I try to get out of my Topshop black Jamie jeans. These are probably the best (and most expensive) jeans I own, considering I’ve had them and loved them since summer 2014 and they still feel like brand new.
As for shoes, I went for a pair of black ankle boots from Stradivarius and they might seem pretty boring but I like the gold zipper on the sides and the fact that they have a combined texture: leather in the front and a bit of suede at the back.
I think that concludes my outfit. I’m slowly trying to make my transition into spring and why not start with the clothes? I’m gonna love you and leave you with a bunch of pictures of me awkwardly working the camera, but let’s try and stay focused on the outfit! Massive thank you to Koko Couture for letting me style this lovely bag!

I hope you enjoyed this post from me and do let me know if you’d like to see more fashion related posts in the future! Big shoutout to Em from for helping me with the pictures!
How are you embracing spring fashion? Do you have any favourite trends this year?
